Lambeth LBC has voted for a series of cost cutting measures including slashing senior management to help plug a £84m funding gap identified through to 2029-30.

A medium-term financial strategy presented to senior councillors last night showed the council's budget gap for 2026-27 had increased by £27m to £50m since March. The local authority has estimated it will overspend by about £18m this financial year.
