Former Tory minister Dame Amanda Milling is expected to be appointed to a new board tasked with helping ‘reset' troubled Tees Valley combined authority, The MJ has learnt. 

Tees Valley has been working with a Local Government Association (LGA) panel as part of a review of its organisation following a Best Value notice in April, which raised concerns about governance, culture, partnerships and continuous improvement at the authority.
