Time to get on with the job of levelling up

Andrew Carter says that with the Government more than half way through its term it is time to see more urgency in delivering levelling up. Delaying progress will only exacerbate inequalities across the UK, he adds.

‘We're getting on with the job' is a phrase we've heard a lot from the Government in recent months.

Following a flurry of scandals, plummeting approval ratings, and disappointing local election results, ministers have been keen to reassure the public that they remain committed to delivering the agenda that won them a huge majority in 2019.
