Cheshire West and Chester Council has announced the appointment of Sal Thirlway as its director of education and inclusion.

Thirlway began his career in Sunderland and has also worked at Staffordshire CC, Lincolnshire CC, Milton Keynes Council, Norfolk CC and Wokingham BC.
