Gosh, aren’t elections complicated? I thought you just had to pop up to the polling station and stick a cross in the box and be done with it. Nothing more high tech than a pencil on a string and nice lady that sits behind the desk, crossing off your name when you turn up to vote.
Well, not any more. I’ve just had a rather dreary leaflet through the door, informing me of all the ins and outs of the London mayoral elections. Everything from parking to proxy voting. What a palaver!
