A positive intervention

At the end of September, the secretary of state for housing, communities and local government determined that commissioners were no longer required in Rotherham.

This decision came six months ahead of the originally planned end date of the intervention, after Ofsted has rated our children’s services to be ‘good’ and an independent health check said the ‘speed and extent of the improvements delivered since 2015 are impressive’.
