Adults with learning disabilities work comes under scrutiny

Councils must do more to measure outcomes and improvements to quality of life for adults with learning disabilities, MPs have urged.

Two years after MPs reported that progress with moving people with learning disabilities out of mental health hospitals and into the community was ‘poor,’ the Public Accounts Committee said ‘more needs to be done’ to address continuing barriers to accessing appropriate support.
