Audit sign off delayed for fourth year

Auditors will not be able to sign off Scarborough BC’s accounts by the statutory deadline with a formal objection stretching back four years still unresolved.

An elector has continued to argue that income derived from car parking at Whitby Harbour should be ring-fenced for harbour activities and not be part of the council’s overall revenue budget.
