Birmingham should cut its councillors, says Boundary Commission

Birmingham City Council should cut the number of councillors to 100, 20 less than it currently has, according to the Local Government Boundary Commission. 

The Commission said it was ‘minded’ to cut the number of councillors as it launched a consultation on the city’s wards, as was recommended in Lord Kerslake’s review of Birmingham in December.
