Cabinet faces vote of no confidence over finances

Northamptonshire CC’s Conservative cabinet faces a vote of no confidence next week over the council’s ‘fragile financial position’ amid dire future forecasts.

A motion by Labour councillor Bob Scott to a meeting on Thursday said he had ‘no confidence in the ability of the current cabinet to make the right decisions, act in the best interests of our constituents and ensure the current, short-term, medium-term and long-term financial position of the council’.
