Call to boost council housebuilding powers

Housebuilding in London needs to be doubled to meet demand, according to new analysis from London Councils.

London requires between 90,000 and 100,000 new homes each year to tackle the housing crisis whereas the latest government figures show there were just 41,718 completions in London during 2019-20.
