Children's services 'as big a headache' as adult social care

The £1.9bn funding gap in children’s services by 2020 is expected to cause ‘just as big a headache’ for councils as adult social care, sector insiders have warned. 

Rising costs and soaring demand in the past year have left councils across the country facing significant children’s services overspends.
