Council urged to tackle deep-rooted inequalities

Reading Council has been urged to tackle deep-rooted inequalities within its community by a Local Government Association (LGA) peer review.

According to a recent report by think-tank Centre for Cities, Reading is ranked as the third most unequal area nationally in terms of wealth distribution, with five neighbourhoods within the 10% most deprived in England.
