Birmingham City Council has criticised the Department for Education (DfE) for choosing to internally review its own actions in the wake of the Trojan Horse allegations.
The council’s cabinet member for children and family services, Cllr Brigid Jones, expressed her disappointment that the review was undertaken by the DfE’s permanent secretary, Chris Wormald.
