District deal’s bid to cement authorities’ two-tier alliance

West Sussex CC and Crawley BC have signed a ‘district deal’ in a bid to strengthen partnership working between the two tiers.

As reorganisation disputes threaten to fracture relationships between counties and districts, the two authorities have agreed a formal set of principles and priorities focused on local economic growth.
