Councils have still not been told details of the Household Support Fund in 2023-24 – less than two months before the start of the financial year.
Local authorities now have less time to plan and implement their funding than the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has had since the Government announced in the Autumn Statement a year-long extension of the fund in England.
