Kober to quit after Haringey regeneration dispute

Haringey LBC’s leader, Claire Kober, has announced plans to stand down from the council at the May elections following a rift within the Labour Party.

A dispute emerged after the party’s ruling national executive committee (NEC) urged the council to pause its plans for a Haringey Development Vehicle (HDV), under which the local authority will transfer £2bn assets to a public-private partnership with Lendlease.
