Labour proposes extra pub protection

A shadow communities minister has called for a change in the law to protect vulnerable pubs.

The Labour peer Lord Kennedy has promised to propose an amendment to the Neighbourhood Planning Bill, which is currently at committee stage in the House of Lords, to give pubs greater legal protection by removing permitted development rights.
