Lancashire CC will have to make some ‘difficult decisions’ over the next few months to ensure that it remains financially viable, auditors have concluded.
A report to a meeting of the council's audit, risk and governance committee next week noted that delivering the calculated £135m savings between now and 2021/2022 will be a significant challenge for the council and its pension fund.
