The Service Transformation Panel is charged with exploring the role of integrated, local provision in transforming public services – and with making recommendations about how to spread and scale this practice.
It’s a hugely important and valuable role. Innovation Unit works with local government, charities and other providers to develop different, better, lower cost public services.
Our experience tells us that the Panel should keep two principles in mind. The best innovations in public service tend to come from the front line - from service users and professionals rather than policy-makers.
