Mayors secure meeting with Brexit secretary

Three Northern Powerhouse mayors raised their concerns with Brexit secretary David Davis in York.

The meeting with Tees Valley mayor Ben Houchen, Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham and Merseyside mayor Steve Rotheram comes after calls for ministers to provide local government with better access to ongoing Brexit negotiations or risk leaving councils unable to cope with new demands on services.
