It will come as no surprise to The MJ readers that SOLACE president Jo Miller broke with protocol to make a speech at the organisation’s annual charity dinner.
As local government’s top chiefs gathered in London last week, Ms Miller, who has already made good a promise in her inauguration speech to champion the sector on its lack of diversity, took to the stage to call for great leadership in the sector – and to praise her predecessor, Mark Rogers.
