County councils have said it is ‘crucial’ that the new funding formula is able to reflect the growing number of over-85s.
In its response to a Government consultation, the County Councils’ Network said the formula should be able to ‘address spikes in specific client groups or its members could be ‘exposed to considerable financial risk’.
