Rising homelessness comfirmed

The number of households in temporary accommodation has shot up by 10% in a year and 58% since 2010, according to the latest homelessness statistics.

Nearly 58,000 people were accepted as homeless by their council in 2015/16 – 18,000 higher than 2009/10.
