Scotland’s care crisis and the seven regions worst hit

There’s no doubt that Scotland is facing a social care crisis - with one in six people across the country taking on unpaid caregiving responsibilities for a loved one.

Over the last three months online searches for ‘caring for an elderly parent’ have surged by 200% - and the demand for elderly care across the country is expected to rise over the next few years.
