Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s top officer will return to where he grew up after being named as Telford & Wrekin Council’s preferred candidate for chief executive.
David Sidaway, who began his career with the then Wrekin DC, is expected to be ratified by the council at a meeting next week and start his new role during the winter.
