Speaking with one voice

During my time working for different councils I thought the Local Government Association (LGA) played an important role in driving the interests of local government. After eight months inside the organisation I’m staggered by how much work goes on with individual councils and with central government.

Every day I am amazed by the variety of work we do on behalf of councils. As you would expect, we are always working to progress issues such as devolution, business rate retention, the pressures facing social care and now, shaping the transition following the EU referendum result.
