The race to make every vote count

Like all district councils, we are now deep into the development of budget proposals for next year.

While we get used to reducing resources, we are constantly reminded of the demanding expectations and continual thirst for transformation.

Since the removal of regional economic bodies and the outcome of the Scottish referendum, it is clear that the level of debate and pressure to adopt strategic initiatives within the district environment has increased in pace and complexity.
