Tory leader accuses Government of meddling

The leader of Wycombe DC has claimed Government meddling is making creating a single unitary for Buckinghamshire harder to achieve.

Writing on the Conservative Home blog, Cllr Katrina Wood, said the task of forming the new council had been ‘made more difficult by Government interference on decisions that should be made locally, such as predetermining the leader of the shadow executive and not allowing a partnership of equals in the formation of this new council’.
