Cheshire East: Investigation committee chair steps down

The chair of the committee that suspended three top officers at Cheshire East Council last year has been asked to step down.

Cllr Howard Murray, the chairman of the Investigation and Disciplinary Committee (IDC), has been made to step down from his committee duties after the council received information it believes might prejudice the work of the IDC.
