Chief in Brexit casualty warning

The Government wants to ‘water down’ current arrangements for consulting councils after Brexit, a chief executive has claimed.

A letter from local government secretary Sajid Javid, seen by The MJ, revealed the consultative role of the Committee of the Regions would be replicated domestically in a non-statutory way.
