Council warning after schools cash injection

Councils have warned that a £50m investment to create state-of-the-art school places for pupils with special educational needs (SEN) should not be a one-off cash injection.

The Local Government Association (LGA) welcomed education ministers’ decision to invest new cash in creating high-performance facilities to boost attainment among those with SENs – part of a wider campaign to narrow the attainment gap.
