Defective PPE is 'outrageous' says Birmingham leader

Providing frontline healthcare workers with out of date safety gear is ‘frankly outrageous’ and puts them at even greater risk, the leader of Birmingham City Council has told ministers.

As the personal protective equipment supply crisis continues  across the country, it has emerged that Birmingham has been issued with 16,000 heavy duty masks that are six years out of date.
