EXCLUSIVE: Sector panel quietly sidelined by DLUHC

A panel of experts brought together in an attempt to tackle key issues facing the sector appears to have been quietly sidelined, The MJ can reveal.

It has emerged the local authority accountability framework review panel, which was convened by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC), to determine whether the sector’s governance and accountability framework was ‘fit for purpose,’ has failed to meet since November 2021 and is under review.
