Future-proofing

We published our Fostering Futures report in October highlighting the opportunity to make some relatively simple changes in fostering to improve life chances for 9,000 children and save £150m.

It included findings from eight councils’ exploration of fostering, building on insight from a further ten councils and national surveys we completed with the Fostering Network for the Department for Education.

The report has caused plenty of debate and the recent National Children’s and Adults Services (NCAS) conference gave lots of opportunity to discuss the report with portfolio holders for children’s services and directors of children’s services.
