Leicestershire districts unite over reorganisation

District and borough councils in Leicestershire have offered the county council an olive branch over the issue of reorganisation.

Leaders of the county’s seven district and borough councils today issued a joint statement proposing to work together with County Hall to look at options for reorganisation, including district councils operating in a combined authority or creating multiple unitaries.
