Manchester 'super council' boss announced

Stockport MBC chief executive Eamonn Boylan will be the first chief executive of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), it has been revealed. 

He will take on the post, leading the ten Greater Manchester councils, following the retirement of Manchester City Council’s Sir Howard Bernstein who held the post on an interim basis alongside his council job.
