Local authorities should not view metro mayors with distrust, the chief executive of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy (CIPFA) has advised.
Speaking at the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE) Summit today, Rob Whiteman said that the ‘metro mayors versus councils’ attitude that exists at some local authorities was counter-productive.
