Move forward on business rates admin

The Government has taken the next step towards modernising the administration of business rates to ‘make them fit for the 21st century’.

Proposed legislation would give HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) the power to undertake the preparatory work on its commitment to link its digital tax accounts with local authority business rate systems after 2024.
