New guide to improve member-officer relations

Cheshire East Council has responded to concerns about member-officer relations by producing a new guide outlining the roles and responsibilities of both groups.

A report submitted to a meeting of the council’s corporate overview and scrutiny committee today warned it was ‘crucial for the relationship between members and officers to be well-founded and properly understood’ in order for the authority to be effective and successful.
