'Outdated' housing laws need overhaul after Grenfell

Social landlords have been left ‘unpoliced and unaccountable,’ academics have warned as they demand an overhaul of ‘outdated’ housing laws in the wake of the Grenfell fire.

According to a survey commissioned by housing charity Shelter, 85% of professionals believe housing health and safety law is not fit for purpose.
