PHE’s role in doubt

Public Health England’s (PHE) role after 100% business rates retention is rolled out remains unclear, according to the chief executive of the Association of Directors of Public Health (ADPH).

At present, the organisation’s chief executive, Duncan Selbie, is the accountable officer for the ringfenced public health grant, which will be subsumed into the business rates scheme.
