Second phase of Grenfell inquiry not expected before 2020

Phase two of the Grenfell Tower inquiry hearings is unlikely to start before the end of next year, it has emerged.

Concluding the phase one hearings, which sought to establish what happened at Grenfell Tower on the night of the fire, inquiry chairman Sir Martin Moore-Bick stressed the ‘investigation must be thorough’ and the work ‘inevitably takes time’.
