Exempting asylum accommodation from “Awaab’s Law” risks more deaths due to poor housing conditions, experts have warned.
It emerged last week that accommodation for around 100,000 current asylum seekers is likely to be exempt from strict proposed laws on social housing standards that force landlords to tackle issues such as damp and mould.
