We must start thinking about how we generate income streams now because the cultivation of income development interventions is complex, with long lead-in times. The question is: how do you develop a business case to spend on growing longer-term income streams when you are in the middle of cost reduction?

Good organisations spend time planning for their future rather than reactively managing decline.
