NALC hits out at Government business rate decision

Town councils are ‘bitterly disappointed’ at the Government’s decision to reject proposals to give local councils a share of the business rates. 

The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) said it was ‘bitterly disappointed’ but ‘not entirely surprised’ after the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) has not backed the plans to give towns and parishes business rates to tackle economic development.
