Sector welcomes Sturgeon tourism tax moves

Local government figures have welcomed plans announced yesterday by Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon to give councils the freedom to levy a tourism tax.

Ms Sturgeon told Parliament the Scottish Government will announce a Bill to hand councils the power to introduce such a scheme.
