Local authorities in Wales should develop community resilience initiatives to help residents do more for themselves while cost pressures erode public resources, an auditor has urged.
A report by Audit Wales published today concluded ‘local authorities find it difficult to empower people and communities to be more self-reliant and less dependent on services’.
