We have seen big improvements to the adoption system in recent years, with record numbers of children placed in loving homes with adoptive families and delays cut significantly.
These successes are testament to the strength of working relationships between statutory and voluntary agencies, with local authorities at the very heart of efforts to find permanent homes for some of our most vulnerable children.
