A Celtic partnership for a flourishing future

Although Cornwall and Wales are divided geographically, we are united by our many commonalities and the highest aspirations for our people.

I was therefore pleased and proud to travel from my base in Cornwall to Cardiff in July to sign the historic Celtic Heritage Cornwall-Wales Collaboration Agreement alongside the First Minister, Mark Drakeford. This is the result of ongoing dialogue over several months, and formalises the many different ways Cornwall and Wales already work together. More importantly, the agreement is a public commitment to continue to strengthen our ties in the years to come, cooperating on matters of mutual interest to benefit residents of both Celtic nations.
